Lydia jumped into this industry in 1989, not knowing a single thing. But as years passed by, she learned more and more. From Bidding to Installing. She has earned a reputation of a NO NONSENSE Individual in this industry. With incredible ethics and habit of going way beyond the means to make the Contractor/Builder feel at ease. Over the years she has consulted Owners and Developers making sure all their needs were met. And as a Developer once said…."I WANT THE WOW Factor"…making sure that was exactly what they received.
Working hand in hand with her employees out in the field has earned her the respect that she will NOT sit behind a desk and run a company from there. That she too knows and understands the meaning of hard work. She has taken pride in the knowledge of knowing this industry from one end to the other. Working in a Man’s industry was a rough beginning, but earning their respect was all worth the ups and downs.
Jim Nixon, CEO of A-Plus Fire & Protection, LLC
Jim has been in the industry since 1980, when he started working for a Company in Amarillo, Texas as Service Manager. In 1988 he moved to Austin, TX where in time he decided to start his own company and find a niche in the Apartment Industry.
Diving into his first Project in 1998 in San Marcos, Texas. He has become one of the most renowned individuals in this industry. With an impeccable reputation, providing honesty and integrity in all his Projects.
He is sought out by Contractors knowing that once he starts a project, he will see it to the end. He enjoys being out in the field and walking the projects to make sure all expectations are met. He stays in contact with the Contractors and always handles all issues head-on, never avoiding them. Jim is also well respected by his colleagues and employees as a reasonable and honest individual.

Michael "Mike" Ortiz
Project Manager, Fire and Security Licenses in Texas, Fire License in Montana
Mike started running projects right out of High School in 1999. Currently, he lives in Bertram, TX with his beautiful family; wife Jennifer, two sons Ranger Andrew and Hunter Christopher. Mike specializes in finishing out Clubhouses for builders such as Capstone, Amicus, CEI, Rampart, JPI, and Lennar to name a few. He also installs and has certifications in Fire, Security, Phone Data Cable, CCTV, Music and Sound, and Access Control. Mike has a reputation in seeing the projects stay on schedule and working hand in hand with the local AHJ and Contractor Supervisors on site.
Scott Casey Ivicic
Project Manager, Fire and Security Licensed in Texas, Fire Licensed in Montana
Scott started working with us in 2001 and currently lives in Liberty Hill, TX. He has a beautiful wife Jennifer, and 4 gorgeous daughters: Hannah, Mariah, Harper, and MakynzeeAnn. Scott specializes in Siemens Fire Panel Programming and Servicing for builders such as Capstone, Amicus, CEI, Rampart, JPI, and Lennar to name a few. He also installs and has certifications in Fire, Security, Phone Data Cable, CCTV, Music and Sound, and Access Control. Scott is known for his Knowledge in FIRE ALARMS from serving, installing and programming. He works hand in hand with Contractors and the local AHJ’s.
Lupe Perez
Office Manager
Lupe started working with us in 2015. She is married to the love of her life Bert Perez and has two sons Kenney and Alex. Lupe lives in Harker Heights, TX. She oversees service, AR/AP, and payroll and overall office guru. You will also see a Happy Smile on Lupe’s face. She is the heart of the company, the one each employee goes to for information. From where the fire alarm plans are to where to find paper clips.
